How much do you need to burn?

Every size uses the same angled-slot panels and the same tool-free assembly. What changes is how much fits inside. For scale: a 55-gallon burn barrel holds about 7.4 cubic feet.

Every cage is hot-rolled mild steel laser-cut in Mulberry, Kansas, with an uncoated mill finish and tab-and-slot panels that need no tools. On Medium, Large and XXL the lid and riser base are options; the Small includes both, which is why it weighs about the same as a bare Medium. The Large and XXL also offer PRO Series 11-gauge panels — 60% thicker steel for burning hard and often.

A rusted 55-gallon drum smolders, smokes and tips over. The Pyro Cage is the purpose-built alternative: uniquely angled slots pull air across the fuel from every side, so yard debris, brush, cardboard and sensitive documents burn hotter and cleaner — all the way down to ash, with the flames and embers contained behind steel.

Every cage is laser-cut from 14-gauge American steel — roughly twice the thickness of a typical barrel — in Mulberry, Kansas, and assembles tool-free in minutes. Four sizes cover everything from a portable campfire to a season of brush piles, with lids, riser bases and Kansas-sewn covers available for every full-size cage (the Small ships with its lid and base included).

Covers, lids and riser bases

Covers are cut and sewn in-house from 600 denier solution-dyed marine-grade polyester, sized to each cage. Lids hold embers in on a windy day; a riser base lifts the fuel about 4 inches so the lower vents feed the fire from underneath.

Why a cage instead of a barrel

Burns cleaner than a barrel

Angled slots on every panel feed air up through the fuel, so the fire runs hotter and leaves less behind than a closed drum or an open pile.

Over twice a barrel's steel

Standard panels are 14 gauge, 0.075" thick — more than double the steel of the drums usually cut down into burn barrels.

No tools required

Panels lock together by hand into a self-supporting cage and come apart to store flat between burns.
