Most of our products including the Pyro Tower and Pyro Burn Cages ship via FedEx Ground. Smaller items like replacement hardware or covers for the PyroTower may ship via USPS.
The pieces for the Monolith Fire Tower are too large to ship via FedEx and requires a pallet for easy transport and is shipped via LTL Freight. We always request electronic lift gate delivery for our residential orders that require freight shipping so that they can lower the pallet to the ground without the need for special equipment on the receiving end. Our shipping software automatically emails tracking information for each package when it ships for your peace of mind.
In-stock items usually ship in 2 business days or less, depending on seasonal demands. Backordered items usually ship in less than 1 week. Large orders or orders requiring freight shipping may take longer to ship. FedEx Ground shipping reaches most places in 2-3 days. You can view the map below to estimate shipping time.
We usually ship orders in 2 business days or less. As soon as the shipping information is sent to FedEx our shipping software will send you an automated email with the tracking information. If you didn't receive an email with the shipping notification and it's been more than 48 hours, just email info@proudpyro.com and we'll check into it for you!
We're sorry for the trouble! Nearly every product we sell ships in multiple boxes to meet FedEx requirements for size and weight. Unfortunately, FedEx will sometimes deliver one package at a time. Our shipping labels are automated so it's highly unlikely that we didn't ship a box. Most of the time your second box will arrive the following business day.
The most frustrating part is that when you track your order on FedEx.com your order will show as Delivered even if some of the boxes haven't arrived yet. FedEx assigns a Master Tracking Number to your order, and if only one box of a multi-piece shipment is delivered, it will show at the top of the page that everything was delivered.
You can check for sure by entering your FedEx tracking number into their website. Look for the link that says Multiple-piece Shipment to see all of the packages in your order. We're always happy to check for you, so give us a call or shoot us an email if you have questions.

Please inspect your purchase immediately upon delivery. If there is a problem with your order, contact Pyro Tower via e-mail at info@ProudPyro.com within three (3) days of receipt. If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item, we will work with you to make things right.
If you wish to return an item and your order was fulfilled accurately, your refund may be reduced by a restocking charge equal to 10% of the purchase price, and you will be responsible for outbound and return shipping and delivery charges. Please note, even if your item was purchased with "Free Shipping" there are still costs associated with that outbound shipping that cannot be refunded. Returns must be received in original condition within 15 days of authorization of return. Credit card orders will receive refunds in the form of a credit back to the original account. Check and cash payments will be returned via a refund check or Pyro Tower Credit. Refunds will be issued once the product has been received and inspected by Pyro Tower Customer Service.
Be sure to retain the original packing materials and original receipt for any item that you wish to return to us. You may have to provide supplementary packing materials if the outer carton has been worn during the original trip out to you.
Standard Shipping service charges are not refundable. We do not accept any returns or exchanges on custom orders. All reduced price or sale items are final and no returns will be accepted. PLEASE NOTE: Shipping Charges may not be accurately reflected in your purchase price. We often offer "Free Shipping" or discounted shipping on the website that do not represent the actual shipping cost.

Everything we make is made in the USA using American Steel. Most of our products are cut right here in Kansas, but if you're familiar with Kansas City where some of our items are cut, the city is split in half between Kansas and Missouri. The laser cutter we use is on the Missouri side.
Pyro Tower products are fully warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use. This determination will be made at the sole discretion of Pyro Tower personnel after inspecting damaged item either in person or by examining photos provided by the customer. Damage to product not covered under warranty will be replaced for a reasonable rate and a fee will be charged for return shipping.
One of the common questions we get about our Riser Bases are if the feet should be a little loose. The simple answer is yes. The steel sheets that our products are cut from are made within a range of tolerances - some are a little thinner while others can be a little thicker. It's impossible to perfectly match the gap in the feet with the thickness of the steel on the riser. Because of this, we size the gap in the feet to match the thickest sheets we receive from the manufacturer to make sure that they will always slide on.
In practice, this has no effect on how the unit performs. Once the feet are slid onto the Riser Base and it's placed inside of the Pyro Cage for use, the sides of the cage "lock" the Riser Base in place so that it can't move. If you plan to move your Riser Base often, one option is to use a hammer to hit the top of the feet so that they "bite" into the Riser Base.
It's important to note that our Pyro Cages are cut from Mild Steel, and are not made from Stainless Steel. We made this decision very deliberately because we were able to make a burn cage replacement that was nearly 2x thicker than the competition while still providing a larger cage for less money. If left out in the elements untreated, the Pyro Cages will develop a layer of surface rust that is an aesthetic issue only. The cages are thick enough and made from high quality American steel so that they will not "rust through" like cheaper import alternatives. Over time the Pyro Cages will turn a deep, dark red that we find much more natural in appearance than tarnished stainless steel.
No - you should never use an accelerant to start a fire in a Pyro Cage. We've got years of experience burning in these cages and have never found it necessary, either. The most important thing to getting a good, clean burn is to make sure that your burning things that are dry with a low moisture content. Burning fresh cut leaves or limbs will be difficult and will result in excess smoke.
All metal expands when heated. We have carefully designed the Pyro Cages to minimize the warpage that can result when the metal is hot, but it does happen to varying degrees. When burning organic material like limbs and leaves the effect is less than processed artificial material like plastic or wood that has glue or adhesive. While the panels can distort it does not impact the effectiveness of the unit - any gaps that can develop are still small enough to safety contain the burn. Generally, the effect is most noticeable during there first couple of burns and tends to even out with use.
Absolutely! We originally called our products the Blaze Tower and the Blaze Burn Cage. However, at the end of 2017 we received a cease-and-desist letter from Blaze Outdoor Products demanding that we change our name. Apparently they were concerned that people shopping for an awesome outdoor product might confuse one of their generic-looking propane grills that looks like anything else you might buy at a big box store with one of our unique items and that we would somehow steal away their business.
*Sigh*
Anyway, we had to rebrand all of our products beginning in 2018. We chose the name Pyro and switched the names of everything on our website in January.
Yes! The entire Pyro Tower is assembled using just 5 pieces with the heaviest single piece weighing just 44 pounds and is easily handled by two people. The four Tower pieces are assembled using just 12 bolts and those pieces are attached to the bottom base using just 6 bolts. Average assembly time with two people should be less than 15 minutes. You can download and view the instruction manual here.
Yes, it does! One of the unique properties of the steel that we use to build the Pyro Tower is that it is extremely efficient and storing and radiating heat. Unlike an open fire pit, the Pyro Tower will absorb much of the heat from the fire and radiate it throughout an area. We often describe it as a gentle heat instead of the scorching heat of an open fire.
Our standard metal finish on the Pyro Tower is a polymerized linseed oil. Linseed oil is a natural product that is pressed from the dried seeds of the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum) and is commonly called flaxseed or linseed oil. The flax plant has been cultivated for thousands of years for its fiber (linen), seed and oil. Linseed oil is one of the oldest commercial oils and has been used for centuries as a drying oil in painting and varnishing.
Raw linseed oil can be used as a metal finish but it can take weeks for it to fully cure. It is for this reason that we use a polymerized linseed oil which is somewhat more viscous than raw linseed oil (making it more difficult to spread and apply) but dries considerably more quickly. The polymerization of the oil is accomplished by applying heat to the oil in the absence of oxygen. Be aware that this process produces a final product that is not the same as the “boiled linseed oil” that you might find on the shelves of home improvement and hardware stores. As counter-intuitive as it seems, boiled linseed oil has not been “boiled” or heated at all but instead has had petroleum-based solvents and metal driers added to it so that it supposedly behaves as if it was “boiled”. The most commonly used heavy metal dryer in “boiled linseed oil” is cobalt that is considered toxic. Additionally, a finish generically referred to as “Danish Oil” is produced by large paint manufacturers and contains some linseed oil but the majority of the components may be carcinogenic, petroleum-based ingredients such as Naptha, Mineral Spirits, and Dipropylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether.
Our linseed oil finish is 100% pure polymerized linseed oil that contains NO petroleum distillates, NO volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and NO heavy metal driers. The heating methods used to polymerize our linseed oil finish have been adapted from 18th to early 20th century varnish-making techniques while also using current technology and quality control measures to ensure a consistent and natural product.
Linseed oil finish does not form a “shell” on the surface of the metal like varnishes or paints. Instead the oil soaks into the pores of the metal, leaving a satin surface that emphasizes the grain and natural beauty of the metal. The linseed oil continues to harden over time and enhances the metal’s resistance to scratching and rusting. If rusting or scratching does occur, the metal can be easily repaired by sanding and reapplying linseed oil. Reapplication of linseed oil over time will improve the richness of the metal finish and provide additional protection for the future.
